Jan 1980 - The single Sara is released in the UK hitting #37.

Feb 1980 - The single Not That Funny is released in the UK, but misses the charts.

3rd Feb 1980 - Australia / Japan Tour begins in Tokyo in support of Tusk.

27th March 1980 - North American Tour Opens.

May 1980 - The single Think About Me is released  reaching #20on the US charts, but misses the UK charts

1st June 1980 - European Tour opens in London, England in support of Tusk.

7th June 1980 - The single Sisters Of The Moon is released in the US reaching #86.

5th August 1980 - The tour returns to America for a short run till 1st Sept.

1st Sept 1980 - The group finishes the World Tour at the Hollywood Bowl.

Nov 1980 - Fleetwood Mac Live is released spanning the Rumours and the Tusk tours, it will go on to hit US #14 and UK #31.

15th Dec 1980 - The single Sara is released in the US hitting #7.

1981 - Fleetwood Mac Documentary And Live Concert video was released.

28th Feb 1981 - The single Fireflies is released in the US reaching #60.

Mar 1981 - The single The Farmer's Daughter is released, but misses both the UK and US charts.

May 1981 - Sessions begin for the Mirage album in Le Chateau, Herouville, France

June 1981 - Sessions end for Mirage and the studio overdubs begin in Larrabee Sound, Los Angeles, these will last till December 1981.

July 1981 - Mick Fleetwood solo album The Visitor is released, this album was recorded in Ghana, Africa using African session musicians. It also marks the re-appearance of Peter Green who also performs on guitar, The album makes US #43 but fails to make the UK charts.

8th July 1981 - Stevie Nicks solo single Stop Draggin' My Heart Around sung with Tom Petty, from the Bella Donna album is released, reaching #3 on the US charts and #50 on the UK charts.

27th July 1981 - Stevie Nicks  first solo album Bella Donna is released, reaching #1 on the US charts and #11 on the UK charts.

24th Oct 1981 - Stevie Nicks solo single Leather And Lace is released, reaching #6 on the US charts. It features Don Henley on vocals.

Nov 1981 - Lindsey Buckingham first solo album Law And Order is released, reaching #32 on the US charts. The album also features Mick Fleetwood and Christine McVie.

28th Nov 1981 - Stevie Nicks solo tour supporting Bella Donna opens in Houston, Texas. The tour is known as the "White Winged Dove Tour".

13th Dec 1981 - The "White Winged Dove Tour" comes to an end in Los Angeles. The tour only opens in the US.

Jan 1982 - Lindsey Buckingham solo single Trouble is released, reaching #9 on the US charts and #31 on the UK charts.

4th Feb 1982 - Stevie Nicks solo single Edge Of Seventeen is released, reaching #11 on the US charts.

Mar 1982 - Lindsey Buckingham solo single The Visitor is released in the UK , but fails to make the chart.

Mar 1982 - Lindsey Buckingham solo single It Was I  is released in the US , but fails to make the chart.

30th April 1982 - Stevie Nicks solo single After The Glitter Fades is released, reaching #32 on the US charts.

Mar 1982 - Lindsey Buckingham solo single Mary Lee Jones  is released in the US, but fails to make the chart.

June 1982 - The single Hold Me is released, reaching US #4, but fails to make the UK charts.

7th Aug 1982 - Mirage album is released, where it goes on to reach US #1 and UK#5.

1st Sept 1982 - A short US tour opens in Greensboro, North Carolina in support of Mirage.

4th Sept 1982 - The single Gypsy is released hitting #12 on the US charts and #46 on the UK charts.

21/22 Oct 1982 - Mirage concert is filmed at The Forum, Los Angeles for a future video release.

31st Oct 1982 - Mirage US tour ends in Austin, Texas.

Nov 1982 - The single Love In Store is released hitting #22 on the US charts.

1983 - Stevie Nicks In Concert is released on video.

Feb 1983 - UK only release Oh Diane reaches #9 on the UK singles chart.

April 1983 - The single Can't Go Back is released in the UK but misses the charts. 

May 1983 - Stevie Nicks guests on Robbie Patton's single Smiling Islands where it reaches #52 on the US charts.

19th May 1983 - Stevie Nicks solo single Stand Back is released, reaching #5 on the US charts, but fails to make the UK charts.

30th May 1983 - Stevie Nicks solo tour supporting The Wild Heart opens in San Bernardino, California.

10th June 1983 - Stevie Nicks solo album The Wild Heart is released, reaching #5 on the US charts and #28 on the UK charts.

July 1983 - Lindsey Buckingham solo single Holiday Road from the National Lampoon's Vacation soundtrack is released, reaching #82 on the US charts but missing the UK charts.

Aug 1983 - Mick Fleetwood releases his second solo album I'm Not Me under the name of "Mick Fleetwood's Zoo", but this will fail to chart. RCA then release Mick from his contract.

3rd Sept 1983 - Stevie Nicks solo single If Anyone Falls is released, reaching #14 on the US charts, but fails to make the UK charts.

24th Nov 1983 - Stevie Nicks solo tour comes to an end in Columbia, South Carolina. The tour only opens in the US.

30th Nov 1983 - Stevie Nicks solo single Nightbird is released, reaching #33 on the US charts, but fails to make the UK charts.

10th Dec 1983 - Stevie Nicks appears on "Saturday Night Live" performing Stand Back and Nightbird.

1984 - In Concert Mirage Tour 1982 tour video was released.

Feb 1984 - Christine McVie solo album Christine McVie is released where it reaches US #26, It also features Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood. The album fails to make the UK album chart.

Mar 1984 - Christine McVie solo single Got A Hold On Me  is released, reaching #10 on the US charts,  but fails to make the UK charts.

1st May 1984 - Mick Fleetwood files for bankruptcy.

June 1984  - Christine McVie solo single Love Will Show Us How  is released, reaching #30 on the US charts,  but fails to make the UK charts.

July 1984 - Lindsey Buckingham solo single Go Insane is released, reaching #23 on the US chart, but fails to make the UK charts.

Sept 1984 - Lindsey Buckingham  solo album Go Insane is released, reaching #45 on the US charts, but fails to make the UK charts.

Oct 1984 - Lindsey Buckingham solo single Slow Dancing  is released, reaching #23 on the US chart, but fails to make the UK charts.

Aug 1985 - Christine McVie recruits Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Lindsey Buckingham to help record Can't Help Falling In Love for A Fine Mess soundtrack. This will lead to future studio recordings which will evolve into the Tango In The Night album.

Late 1985 - Fleetwood Mac begin studio sessions for the Tango In The Night album at Rumbo Records, California

28th Oct 1985 - Stevie Nicks solo single Talk To Me  is released, reaching #4 on the US charts and #68 on the UK charts.

18th Nov 1985 - Stevie Nicks solo album Rock A Little is released, reaching #12 on the US charts and #30 on the UK charts.

10th Feb 1986 - Stevie Nicks solo single I Can't Wait is released, reaching #16 on the US charts and #54 on the UK charts.

11th April 1986 - Stevie Nicks solo American tour supporting Rock A Little opens in Houston, Texas.

12th May 1986 - Stevie Nicks solo single Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You is released, reaching #60 on the US charts.

28th Aug 1986 - Stevie Nicks solo American tour supporting Rock A Little closes in Long Beach, California.

24th Sept 1986 - Stevie Nicks solo Australian tour supporting Rock A Little opens in Sydney, Stevie will play eight dates in Australia finishing on 6th Oct.

1986 - Jan 1987 - Overdub sessions continue at Lindsey's studio "The Slope" for Tango In The Night.

1987 - Red Rocks a Stevie Nicks concert video is released.

April 1987 - Tango In The Night is released, it reaches US #7 and UK #1.

30th May 1987 - The single Big Love is released reaching US #5 and UK#9.

11th June 1987 - Mick Fleetwood  and Stevie Nicks perform together in Mick's side group "The Zoo" in San Diego.

20th June 1987 - The single Seven Wonders is released hitting US #19 and UK #56.

Aug 1987 - The single Little Lies is released in the US hitting #4. 

7th Aug 1987 - Lindsey Buckingham declines to tour with Fleetwood Mac in support of Tango In The Night. 

Sept 1987 - Lindsey Buckingham is replaced by Billy Burnette and Rick Vito. Tour rehearsals begin in Venice, California.

Sept 1987 - The single Little Lies is released in the UK hitting #5

Nov 1987 - The single Everywhere is released in the US hitting #14. 

12/13th Dec 1987 - Tango In The Night concert at "The Cow Palace" San Francisco is filmed for future video release.

Late 1987 - First sessions without Lindsey begin with the recording if As Long As You Follow and No Questions Asked for the forecoming Greatest Hits album. The sessions feature Billy Burnette and Rick Vito on guitars and Greg Ladanyi producing.

Jan 1988 - The single Family Man is released in the UK reaching  #54.

6th Feb 1988 - The single Everywhere is released in the UK reaching  #4.

April 1988 -  The single Family Man is released in the US reaching  #90.

June 1988 - The single Isn't It Midnight is released in the UK and makes #60.

Oct 1988 - Tango In The Night tour video is released.

Nov 1988 - The single As Long As You Follow is released hitting US #43 and UK #66.

Dec 1988 - Greatest Hits detailing the Buckingham Nicks years with two new tracks As Long As You Follow and No Questions Asked is released reaching US # and UK #3.

15th Jan 1989 - Sessions begin for the Behind The Mask album.

Feb 1989 - The single Hold Me is re-released in the UK but fails to make the chart.

21st April 1989 - Stevie Nicks solo single Rooms On Fire is released, reaching #16 on the US charts and #16 on the UK charts.

11the May 1989 - Stevie Nicks solo album The Other Side Of The Mirror is released, reaching #10 on the US charts and #3 on the UK charts.

July 1989 - Stevie Nicks solo single Long Way To Go is released in the UK and makes #

11th Aug 1989 - Stevie Nicks solo single Two Kinds Of Love is released in the US and Europe, but fails to make the US charts.

17th Aug 1989 - Stevie Nicks solo tour supporting The Other Side Of the Mirror opens its North American leg in Toronto, Canada.

25th Oct 1989 - Stevie Nicks North American tour ends in Los Angeles.

30th Oct 1989 - Stevie Nicks solo single Whole Lotta Trouble  is released in the UK and reaches # 

14th Nov 1989 - Stevie Nicks solo tour supporting The Other Side Of the Mirror opens its European leg in Dublin, Ireland. The tour will go to England, France and Holland and will finish on 27th Nov.
