Blondie at City Hall Plaza, Boston, MA, June 27, 2003, audience recording, April 2025 transfer This was recorded with a Sony stereo cassette recorder TCS-580V with internal mics. Memorex CD2 90 (high bias) cassettes went from JVC TD-W207 into Pioneer Elite SC-37, into Zoom H2. H2 lined into computer by USB, wav sent to Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 12. Magix program was used for track markings, speed correction, tape flip edits, volume adjustment, and before and after set noise removal. Flac created with Trader's Little Helper, SBE and torrent work also done with TLH. I recorded from the side of the stage on our right (stage left), pretty close to the stage. This was a free show, and there was a ton of people there. There's not a lot of chatty/singalong going on, which is nice. The tapes played a bit too fast - I matched it up with examples of live 2003 tracks from youtube - I think I got it pretty close. There is a tape flip just after track 09, and "Sunday Girl" is missing a second or two as a result. There is a tape flip at the end of track 17 - no music is lost in the flip. I have shared this show in the past, but I'm pretty sure I copied the tapes on to cdr with a standalone recorder, and made the torrent from the discs. This skips that step. The speed is a lot closer to accurate on this version. The sound quality is a little better (to my ears). I also recall that I couldn't figure out the Television cover, so that's an untitled track that now has a title. I got to see Clem Burke play twice - this show, and with Nancy Sinatra. I wish I'd seen him more times than that. RIP to one of the coolest drummers there ever was. Enjoy!
