FLEETWOOD MAC
DESTINY RULES
PRESS RELEASE

DVD
Sanctuary Visual Entertainment is proud to announce the September 6, 2004 DVD release of “Destiny Rules;” a fascinating fly-on-the-wall documentary which captures the legendary Fleetwood Mac as they set about recording 2003’s celebrated reunion album “Say You Will”.
When Lindsey Buckingham decided to record his solo album, he never knew it would result in reuniting Fleetwood Mac after more than a decade apart to record their latest album “Say You Will”. This creative process extends into an enlightening 80-minute documentary, which received a U.S. premiere on VH1 in March 2004.
Featuring exclusive interviews with Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, “Fleetwood Mac: Destiny Rules” exposes life beyond the stage and chronicles how the legendary band faced the challenges of remaining true to their art while trying to produce an album that portrays the timelessness of Fleetwood Mac, without the fifth member, Christine McVie.
This special DVD is split into three sections, Reuniting, Creating The Album and Road To The Tour, with each section split into a further six chapters. Each chapter offers an honest insight into the working dynamics of a super-band, and allows the viewer an opportunity to get an up-close-and-personal look at the latest chapter in the 30-year soap opera that is Fleetwood Mac.
Over 500 hours of footage was shot by film makers Matt Baumann and Kyle Einhorn, beginning with Stevie Nicks’ first day back in the studio and ending as the band takes the stage over a year and a half later. “Fleetwood Mac: Destiny Rules” captures the ups and downs of a legendary band, like no other documentary before… and proves that time doesn’t heal all wounds.
The current line-up of Fleetwood Mac released their eponymous debut together in 1975 with Fleetwood and McVie the only remaining members of the original band. Whilst Fleetwood Mac enjoyed massive commercial success, they are probably best known for their popular hit singles including Rhiannon and Say You Love Me. The global success of 1977’s Rumours established the band as a legendary phenomenon with one of the biggest-selling albums ever made. Containing hit singles such as Go Your Own Way, Dreams and Don’t Stop, Rumours resided in the UK Top 30 album chart as recently as July 2000.
