All together now: The Mac is Back. The reunited edition of Fleetwood Mac, that '70s soap opera of inter-band romance and intrigue, now has the No. 1 album in the country, according to SoundScan. During the week ending August 24, Fleetwood Mac's "The Dance" sold 199,000 copies, knocking rapper Puff Daddy "No Way Out" down to No. 2. Elsewhere in the Top Ten, fellow '70s stand-out Billy Joel debuts at No. 9 with his "Greatest Hits, Vol. 3."

\\The Mac came back in a now-familiar fashion. Following closely in the Eagles footsteps, the group taped a concert in a sound studio, aired the performance on MTV and released the show as a live, greatest hits album. True to form, they now plan to hit the road for a big tour.

The song has yet to dent the Billboard Hot 100 chart or crack rock radio, although it is No. 18 on the adult contemporary chart.

\\From the top, it was "The Dance" at No. 1, followed by "No Way Out" (which sold 167,000 copies); the Spice Girls' "Spice" (115,000); the soundtrack to "Men in Black" (114,000); Matchbox 20's "Yourself or Someone Like You" (100,000); Hanson's "Middle of Nowhere" (96,000); Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's "The A.
